FISHING THE JOINTED SHAD RAP
Seasoned anglers know that sometimes
it takes a slight exaggeration of the lure's unique, "baitfish
in distress" behavior to get the undivided attention of
an otherwise disinterested walleye.
The Jointed Shad Rap is ideally suited to
the slowest possible rate of retrieve, and therefore is extremely
successful in capturing the attention of finicky-feeding and
warier species.
The Jointed Shad Rap can be fished in the
same manner as the original Shad Rap.
Any extra weight should be placed well ahead
of the lure.
Pull this one out after a cold-front passes
or when fishing shallow, extremely clear water.
