Shappell, over the years has really developed a nice product line. They also have a loyal following in the Shappell Ice House Pop-up Shelters and we continue to include them in our ice fishing product lineup at Red Rock. They put reinforcings in all the right places such as the corner grommets in the snow flap. They use 600 denier cloth and their blackout coating inside is nicely applied. They look good from all aspects upon inspection. Their biggest, standout feature is the big oval doors on each end. Everybody else makes a "D" door which are just fine for most people for getting in and out but Shappell's big, honkin' door make it easy for the proverbial "bull in the china shop" type guys (and gals) who can't pass through anything without without destroying zippers and tearing everything up. There is no shortage of clumbsy clutzes out there. (You know who you are - or more likely, all of your friends do but they are being polite).
