Plus, when not ice fishing, I've even worn it in brutal winter conditions laying in water on ice chipping out frozen differentials of a misfortuned 4-wheel-drive. That was one REALLY miserable day involving our Bobcat skidsteer, chains, winches, and a 75 lb. rock drill bit made for a worthless club and not designed for chiseling ice under a really stuck, double cabe, long box, V-plow-on, truck in the middle of nowhere. It was this miserable, bitterly cold, wet, windy, exhausting day out in the woods that completely defined my Ice Armor blue suit for me. I was exhausted but bone dry. That's all the proof I needed. If there's even a remote chance that future conditions might get really ugly, the suit goes with me. I can always take off layers. Even tough ice fishing conditions don't come close to that particular day of use.

Aside from that, if you like padded knees, a padded butt, zillions of pockets, good zippers, hand warmers, windproof, waterproof, breathable clothing, and essentially a suit that doesn't appear to wear out under normal use (and rugged use), this is a no-brainer for me. After what I've put my older version thru, I don't need a sales pitch or improvements. I also like to be able to layer my clothing for those days when just the parka is needed and maybe a light layer underneath. For the money these cost and how mine has performed for me to date, I can't recommend a better valued ice fishing suit that you can use in a gale or a blizzard. -JB-
