Woohoo! Aqua Vu finally got the Quad right! The old AquaVu quad was OK kinda-sorta, but this new systems finally makes sense!

The old Quad looked the same with the exception of the tethered remote that you see on the right side. Therein lies the difference.

Now, instead of looking at 4 little, tiny screens at once, when the opportunity presents itself (ie, big fish in window 3), you simply push the button for window 3 on the remote and you get a FULL screen. Look at his nose-hairs, check out his sunny dispostion and see into the eye of the killer northern pike himself. Study, learn and become the northern pike...or just watch him ignore your bait and swim on by. Only now you can watch him in exciting detail on a full screen.

Other Cool Stuff
The Quad comes with a 7 inch monitor screen and 40 Spectral Response lights for good nighttime visibility. the Quad Pod is the tethered remote switch for going full-screen. there's also the zip out sun-shield, video out jack for recording the big ones you didn't catch, and a one year warranty.

Once you've been introduced to the underwater world of fishing in the winter without needing to hold your breath, you'll become hooked for good. Cameras are a blast plus you actually learn a lot more about fish and lake bottoms than you ever thought possible.

Camera Placement
When I go out, I like to drill three holes. One for the camera that is placed so that it can see two holes without having to be moved. Here's a diagram:

Summary - As with everything, all cameras have trade-offs. If you want a reliable, effective camera with infrared capabilty, this one is a good one to consider. I don't know of anyone who has infrared cameras out there. You'd be the only kid on the block with such a cool toy!
